what’s up

I don’t have a lot to post about this weekend.

Sewing-wise, I was mostly working on a commission if I was in my sewing room and I don’t have anything to show of that.

I did finally get my linen cut and dyed —

Nice colour fresh out, but it dried much lighter — but it’s a good base so I’ll do round 2 this week. Fingers crossed, I’m getting tired of messing with it!

Waiting on my fabric order to get here before I can keep working on that pink thing. It’s scheduled to arrive today.

Saturday we ran a bunch of errands, and went to see Wonder Woman (3rd time!). Sunday we saw Spider-man (it was really cute).

Nana and Kristie brought us some beignets by that looked like little people…

And Luna must know it’s her 3 year anniversary with us because she was all cuddly yesterday.

Lastly I was in a local paper from the Lego event last week. Cool! (Thanks to Trey for sending me the photo).

And I got my Georgian Belle pics uploaded.

Only got one photo of it bustled before I nearly passed out:

So my thoughts on this costume… I’m still not happy with it šŸ™
I think I’m going to straighten the wig out again and redo it similar to this. I think that will give me the softer, more romantic look I wanted when I was trying to redo this week last week… I was trying to find a middle ground and it obviously wasn’t middle enough. It still looks way too harsh.

Second I think I need to remove the large flower from the front. I think that’s one of the things that is making me feel like I look squished. The rose is too big and too busy for that area. I’m going to take it off and put on a smaller one.

Third I need to get over it and figure out how to properly bustle the thing and just sew them in place. I need to stop being scared of putting a needle and thread to this fabric.

It will still have problems even after that but maybe I can at least get it where I’m marginally happy with it?
